1. Our service
These Terms are between you and Contempo Curations (Pty) Ltd, which operates the Killer Apps publisher brand and the Duplicate Killer service. ("Contempo Curations (Pty) Ltd", "we", "us"). Duplicate Killer helps you find and review exact duplicate files in Google Drive and, at your direction, move selected duplicates to Google Drive Trash. Duplicate Killer also helps you organise loose files into existing Google Drive folders it recommends, based on filenames and folder structure, at your direction.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the Google account you connect and for reviewing duplicate groups before choosing which files to send to Trash. You explicitly confirm which files Duplicate Killer may act on before it moves them to Trash; Duplicate Killer will not act on files you have not selected and confirmed. For Organise, Google may separately ask you to confirm access to a specific file before it can be moved, if Google has not already authorized that file for Duplicate Killer.
3. How duplicate matching works
Duplicate Killer identifies exact duplicates using Google Drive metadata and, where available, Google's own MD5 checksum for a file. The "keeper" Duplicate Killer recommends within a duplicate group is guidance only - you choose which copies are actually sent to Trash, and you may keep any copy you prefer.
4. Your choices
Nothing is moved to Trash, or moved by Organise, without your explicit selection and confirmation - and, for some Organise moves, Google's own file-access confirmation. You may stop using Duplicate Killer, revoke its access to your Google account, or request deletion of your Duplicate Killer account data at any time.
5. Trash and deletion
Files Duplicate Killer moves to Trash remain Google Drive files, governed by Google Drive's own Trash retention and restoration behavior. Duplicate Killer does not permanently delete files and does not empty Trash on your behalf.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Duplicate Killer available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the service, and will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
7. Plans and billing
Duplicate Killer currently offers free access. Paid plans are being prepared but are not yet activated; none are being sold today, and no card or payment details are collected through the product at this time. This section will name our payment processor and describe how subscriptions renew, are managed, and are cancelled before any paid plan is activated.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Duplicate Killer, including attempting to circumvent its authorization model, interfere with its operation, or use it to access Google Drive data you are not authorized to access.
9. Intellectual property
Contempo Curations (Pty) Ltd and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in Duplicate Killer and the Killer Apps brand. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets beyond what is needed to use the service as intended.
10. Disclaimers
Duplicate Killer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except where required by applicable law. We do not warrant that duplicate detection will be error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contempo Curations (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Duplicate Killer, including any loss of data resulting from files you chose to move to Google Drive Trash.
12. Termination
You may stop using Duplicate Killer at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, the data-handling commitments in our Privacy Policy continue to apply to any data already collected.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
